Nein, ich bin mit Bangkok Haunts noch lange nicht durch, aber als mir gestern bei Jokers eine sehr günstige Taschenbuchausgabe dieses Kinderbuchklassikers in die Hände fiel, konnte ich einfach nicht widerstehen, weil ich schon so viel Gutes darüber gehört hatte. Und jetzt, so halbwegs durch, kann ich nur sagen: das Buch ist zu Recht ein Klassiker.

Zitate sind auf der Filmseite im IMDB noch keine gesammelt, mir fallen aus dem Kopf auch keine erwähnenswerten ein, außer vielleicht das mit dem spurlosem Verschwinden der Bienen und daß einige Naturphänomene einfach nicht erklärbar sind. Bei Gelegenheit füge ich das hier noch ein.

Ob der dritte Band um den thailändischen Polizisten Sonchai Jipleecheep (wenn ich nur wüßte, oder mir merken könnte, wie das ausgesprochen wird...) genauso gut ist wie die ersten beiden, bleibt abzuwarten, aber die ersten Seiten lassen sich schonmal gut an - es geht um ein sogenanntes "Snuff movie" und die mit Sonchai befreundete FBI-Agentin Kimberly Jones ist auch wieder mit von der Partie...
